The term “perfect” is a contextual term meaning fulfilling all the requirements of some rational standard. Heaven and god are not rational standards, the are mystical standards. Writers should be wary of confusing the two. For man, perfection is possible if the moral standard is objective. (Morality is the province of reason not priests or emotions). Rousseau new exactly that the enemy upon whom he unleashed his thug Robespierre was the individual, sovereign man, against man the achiever who was the object of Rousseau’s self-loathing envy.
I absolutely disagree. The pandemic from the very beginning has never been about politics. It has always been and still is about health and safety, and protecting individuals from a deadly disease unleashed by the Chinese CCP virology lab. The paranoia set forth by the far-right never ceases to amaze me. My opinion only.
Then why has the discussion never been about increasing the capacity of the nation’s private, for-profit medical industries? Why has no one Right or Left ever proposed a moratorium on taxes and regulations so that doctors, researchers, and hospitals may increase capacity and save lives? I think you know.
Interesting read thanks Barry. I heard you on Leighton Smiths podcast and subsequently landed here to follow up.
Thank you, Mark. I'm glad to welcome you as a new reader.

Spot-on, Edward. And why are treatments that may keep Covid patients out of the hospital being blocked and ridiculed?
