It’s unimaginable. But this was real. When I observe the political hatred in the people around me, and the dehumanization of their “enemies”, I also wonder, where will we be in 10 years?

I pray that my daughters have safe and happy lives.

I see so many disturbing similarities from this period of time and today. I can only speak from my perspective, which is "mainstream" Jewish, and I do notice a fair amout (not the majority, but enought) of Jews who are cozying up to anti-Zionist crowd, hoping that if they assimilate it will save them. They join crowds donning keffiyehs, demanding that we take a litmus test before we are allowed to interact with them. "Are you Jewish or Zionist? Because we are okay with Jews, just not Zionists, so please state your side so we can decide whether or not to hate you." It's ridiculous.

The KGB introduced the lie "Zionism is racism" in the 1960s as a way to turn the Islamic world against Israel and the U.S. In the 1970s the KGB pivoted and started the "apartheid" lie; and ultimately the UN got behind both of these lies. Now it is happening all over again, but now we have social media so the lie has spread like wildfire. Not only that, but pretty much all of the media has joined this bandwagon. As an example, when the Michigan synagogue was attacked, NPR ran a sympathy story on the attacker and his family in Lebanon, and no one from the synagogue was interviewed. His family was connected to Hezbollah, but no matter. Even the NTY covered up the holocaust until they couldn't.

A few months ago, I was debating with my son about Israel, as most Jewish parents are sadly forced to do these days. He said to me, "So you are trying to tell me that ALL the news outlets are wrong, and only you are right?". I don't claim to be right about all things, but just one look back into history, and you will see many times where ALL the news outlets were WRONG. I see the signs, and I have a bag packed.
