I agree with you about this essay of Hayek's. His work led me to create a small business to serve explorers of all kinds, the Office for Open Network, in Denver, Colorado, 1975-2000. — https://explorersfoundation.org/glyphery/545.html — and to invent a word based on his work: freeorder is quest-enabling balance among spontaneous and designed orders. There is today, on the wall of my office, a completely unsolicited letter from Hayek, in which, with astounding generosity, he informs me that our "intentions seem indeed to be very much in the spirit of my conceptions and I shall be glad to be kept informed about the progress of your endeavors. Yours Sincerely, [signature], F. A. Hayek"
